Dear Friends-

I am thrilled to announce that Bryce Wiatrak has been awarded the 2015 Vinous Young Wine Writers Fellowship. Bryce discovered his passion for wine and writing during a summer internship between his junior and senior years at Yale. That internship led to a column at the Yale Daily News and a fulltime job after graduation at Bottlenotes, where Bryce held the role of Content & Social Media Manager until his departure earlier this year. Bryce recently passed his Certified Sommelier exam (Level 2) with the American Court of Master Sommeliers. A man of many talents, Bryce is studying for a Master of Music in Voice from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, which means the two of us can pull off some pretty mean duets in between tasting and writing. I am confident you will enjoy Bryce’s contributions to Vinous.

About the Vinous Young Wine Writers Fellowship

Discovering and nurturing the next generation of outstanding young wine writers has been one of my longstanding personal goals for Vinous. As part of our mission, Vinous has established the Young Wine Writers Fellowship. Each year the editorial team at Vinous will select an individual who demonstrates exceptional talent, passion and work ethic. The winner will be awarded a Fellowship, receive personal coaching from me and other members of the Vinous team, and have the opportunity to be published on Vinous. Unlike other similar awards, the Vinous Young Wine Writers Fellowship operates completely independently of the wine trade. Full submission guidelines for the 2016 program can be found here.

Cheers,

Antonio
